Mural Brings Healing to Mending Hearts
Beth Inglish (May 8, 2014) – On April 25th the women of Mending Hearts came together to paint a mural in their garden. This project created much more than a painting, it allowed the women to express their emotions to show what they are feeling without having to explain it.

“In the Raw”: A collaborative effort to raise awareness of suicide statewide
Bolivar Bulletin (August 20, 2014) – The “In the Raw” Art Mural is a project by suicide survivors, ranging in ages from 10 to 78 years old, through therapeutic art healing workshops with Your Heart on Art and funded through a grant from the Team Mica Fund.The three panels will  travel throughout the state beginning in August.

Triptych Explores “Raw” Emotions of Those Affected by Suicide
Nashville Arts Magazine (September 2014) – A group of suicide survivors ranging in age from 10 to 78 years old recently gathered at Your Heart on Art’s studio to participate in an art project designed to promote healing. Using oil pastels on blank canvas, the group was led through the process of expressing their emotions on canvas.

Team Mica Fund “In the Raw” Pop Up Art Show
The Tennessean (September 17, 2014) – The In the Raw mural will be on display at a pop up art show at Turnip Green Creative Reuse on Wednesday, September 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This show is a collaborative effort between Your Heart on Art, Team Mica Fund, Turnip Green Creative Reuse, The Porch, Platetone, and Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network.

Jackson, TN Community Calendar (November 15, 2014) – The Team Mica Fund will hold it’s first, Redbird Bash: A Benefit and Auction. The evening will include delectable cuisine, a fabulous filled auction, and music by SmallShack, that will sure to rock the night away! It is cocktail attire and wearing RED is encouraged. All funds support the Team Mica Fund: In Memory of Mica Breeden Martin and its mission, which is to raise awareness of suicide and support animal adoptions.

“Inside the Darkness” Art Installation at Barnes & Noble on October 1
Vanderbilt University (September 29, 2015) – “Inside the Darkness,” a traveling art installation created by survivors of suicide and intended to raise awareness about suicide prevention across Tennessee, will be on display at Barnes & Noble at Vanderbilt beginning Oct. 1. The installation is hosted by Your Heart on Art and funded by the Team Mica Fund.
